A True Link Visa® Prepaid Card can be activated as soon as it arrives in the mail. Once the Card is activated, cardholders can begin making transactions.

Ways to activate a card
Cards can be activated in one of three ways:
Option 1 - Online
- Cards can be activated online by
- Going to https://member.truelinkfinancial.com/activate and entering the required information.
- Logging into the administrator dashboard and under “Status,” clicking “Activate” for the relevant card. We will ask you to verify that you have the authority to activate the Card on behalf of the cardholder.
- To activate cards, the following information is required:
- Last 4 digits of the True Link Visa Card number
- Cardholder date of birth
- Cardholder Social Security number
- A pop-up window confirms that your activation was successful. If activation is not successful, confirm and re-enter the activation information. If it still does not work, call our Customer Support team at 1-877-264-8783.
Option 2 - Automated phone system:
- Cards can be activated by calling 1-800-299-7646 via True Link’s automated phone system. This number can also be found on the back of the True Link Visa Card.
- Press 2 to activate the card.
- Enter the last 4 digits of the Card number.
- Enter the 4 digits of the cardholder's year of birth
- Enter the cardholder's Social Security number.
- Complete activation.
Option 3 - Customer Support:
- True Link’s customer support team can also help activate cards. Call 1-877-264-8783 to speak to a True Link representative.
- To activate cards, the following information is required:
- Last 4 digits of the True Link Visa Card number
- Cardholder date of birth
- Cardholder Social Security number
