The True Link Wallet* is a new, free feature designed to give Administrators greater flexibility to manage cardholder funds. It allows you the option to set aside a protected balance of funds for each cardholder you serve that is separate from the True Link Visa® Prepaid Card balance spent by the cardholder.
Once you’ve funded the Wallet, you can then use the Wallet to transfer funds instantly to the cardholder's card exactly when funds are needed. With a True Link Wallet for the cardholders you serve, you’ll have:
- Protected Balance: Funds in the Wallet cannot be spent by the cardholder using their physical True Link Visa Card.
- Instant, anytime transfers between accounts: Move money from the Wallet to the True Link Visa Card when funds are needed, or move money back to the Wallet to better manage a card’s balance. Available instantly, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No Additional Fees: The Wallet is included with your existing True Link account at no additional cost.
- Total visibility: View balances, reports, and statements for each account, as well as the combined total balance across the Wallet and the cardholder’s physical True Link Visa Card.
- Virtual Card and Bill Pay: The Wallet will have a virtual card attached to it that you can use to pay bills or make purchases from the Wallet balance.

Mobile App Support: The ability to manage Wallet transfers to the True Link Visa Card directly from the True Link Mobile App.
How does the Wallet help me manage cardholder funds?
The Wallet simplifies True Link Visa Card funding. Once the Wallet is funded, you can transfer funds from the Wallet balance to the True Link Visa Card instantly, instead of having to wait 1-5 business days for each bank to True Link Visa Card transfer.
- "Just-in-Time" Funding: Instead of waiting 1-5 business days for a bank transfer to be made available on a True Link Visa Card, you can keep funds in the Wallet and transfer them to the cardholder's card instantly.
- More Recurring Transfer Options: For the first time, you can set up daily recurring transfers from the Wallet to the Card, including on weekends and holidays! All of the recurring transfer options that you’re used to will still be available.

Direct Deposit: You can set up direct deposit transfers to send funds (like payroll or benefits) directly into the Wallet, giving you control over when those funds are made available on the cardholder’s physical True Link Visa Card.
How to Get Started
Opening a Wallet is quick and available from your online True Link Dashboard. The option to fund, and therefore activate, the Wallet will only be available if the cardholder has an open True Link Visa Card.
- Log in online to your administrator dashboard and find the cardholder in your client list for whom you’d like to activate a Wallet.
- Select "+ Fund Wallet": If the cardholder is eligible, you will see a link to + Fund Wallet in the True Link Wallet column of your All Clients list
- Complete Setup: Follow the prompts to schedule your initial transfer from a connected bank account, via direct deposit, or from the True Link Card balance. You will be asked to agree to the terms of service to open the account.
Once the Wallet is funded, you can manage it and the card directly from the cardholder's dashboard by clicking “View”. If you'd like a more detailed video overview of the feature and what to expect, please watch this informational video.
Cardholder Access:
The Wallet is an administrator-managed tool. Cardholders cannot spend funds directly from the Wallet, but if provided with the last four digits of the Wallet number, they can view their Wallet balance and statements from the cardholder login of the True Link website.
- Visibility: Cardholders do not automatically see the Wallet in their mobile app or login.
- Access: If you choose to share the last four digits of the Wallet number with the cardholder, they will be able to view the balance on the web portal, but they still cannot move or spend the funds.
